Overview

The Magellan Maestro 4250 portable navigation system boasts a 4.3″ widescreen for easy viewing and includes an FM-TMC receiver for instant traffic updates. You’ll be alerted to approaching congestion, and the Maestro 4250 will recalculate your route immediately. Traffic-info service is available in most metropolitan areas. Just enter your destination through the convenient Touchscreen using an address or local search and the Maestro 4250 contains preloaded maps of the entire U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Choose from 6 million points of interest (POI) including many hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and phone number info so you can call ahead for reservations or help. Text-to-speech voice prompts announce actual road names at turns, so you can concentrate on your driving. Included Bluetooth wireless technology lets you dial and receive calls safely with a compatible phone, and access your phone’s address book while leaving your phone in your bag or pocket. The built-in microphone and speaker make communication easy. Just tap the screen for a quick connection to AAA Roadside Assistance and access service details along with recommended destinations from the leading travel resource. You can program the Maestro 4250 to understand basic voice commands in a few simple steps. You’ll be able to advance through menus and receive guidance without even touching the screen. This GPS satellite navigation unit has a built-in antenna, suction-cup windshield mount, dashboard disk headphone jack, car/home power adapters, USB cable, carrying case and built-in rechargeable battery with up to 4 hours of life. great product, especially for price!
i bought this on the day after thanksgiving sale and got this item for only $199! couldn't beat that. we love it. great for traveling. easy to use and to clip on the window. the bluetooth is alright. i have a hard time hearing people through it but that's complicated. but great product, great price! .... Refurb 4250 a great deal
Originally ordered new for $200 from Amazon, but then saw the refurb version for only $120. Ended up returning the new one. The box was clearly labeled refurbished, but everything looked new - no scratches and all components present. Upgraded the firmware with no issue and have used it a few times now. Haven't used the traffic feature (no need). Did use it on a trip to the mountains through some pretty narrow canyons - tracked very precisely. Ok GPS...Not Great
Pros: I love the large screen. I also like that it has many different ways to search for places you are looking for like airports, movie theatres, etc. One of the neat features of this product is that it responds to voice commands.

Cons: The maps on this model are VERY out of date. The first two times I used this GPS, it sent me to places that haven't existed for more than three years, so the maps are at least that far out-of-date. If I had known that, I probably wouldn't have bough .... Read more

Magellan 4250 Refurbished
The 4250 is a great GPS especially at the refurbished price of $120. Works well, and I like making my cell phone hands free. It does give some pretty wacky routes. Still good to know where you are generally going on a long trip. The way it takes you my not be the most direct, but it does get you there. The feature where it tells you what at the exits ahead is nice to.
Look for this unit as refurbished on Amazon, and just buy a square trade warranty which is pretty cheap .... Read more

Great device
I bought this device for my parents. Easy to use for older people that have little experience with technology. Good interface. Extra features are great. Device is thin and looks great. Pretty good for carrying around. of course it doesn't fit in your pocket.

I havn't come upon the bugs that some people have reported. Device is great buy for $210. Would recommend it to others. .... Read more
